Biography:
Karis grew up on Tatooine as a slave. At the age of 14 she was sold to
moisture farmers Kade and Reba Jorvin, who freed her and adopted her as
there granddaughter.

Karis started working with whatever pieces of electronics she could get
her hands on. She often practiced using her blaster on anything from
desert pests to dangers. Kade and Reba's nephew was a freighter pilot
and on his frequent visits he taught her how to fly. Then one day, he
stopped coming. No one knew why.

When Karis was 19 Kade and Reba were killed when a bounty hunter named
Zahllin Moore destroyed their home out of revenge. Zahllin died in his
own explosion.

One of the things Karis took before she left was Zahllin's lightsaber,
which she assumed he had taken from a jedi at some point in time. She
figured it would probably come in handy. Then she took his ship and
left Tatooine forever.

Since then she has advanced her skills while working at various odd jobs for different groups an people. She currently has no preference for either the empire or the alliance.
